Assisted Visits
Help with Travel Expenses (Assisted Prison Visits Scheme)
Close relatives, partners or the only person visiting a particular prisoner, may be entitled to get help with travel expenses. There are qualifying rules and conditions. Ask at the main Reception Desk, when on a visit, for an application pack or telephone:
Assisted Prison Visits Unit telephone number: 0845 300 1423 between the hours of 10:15am and 11:45am or 2:15pm and 3:45pm.
These hours are from Monday to Friday.
