I’ve been at Parc for nine years, and currently work in the gymnasium. Before that, I was a bricklayer, and also served with the British Army. In the future, I’d like to stay here and progress to a supervisory role.
I’d say that the best thing about working here was the people. There’s a real sense of team spirit, and an exceptionally diverse team – Parc embraces a wide range of different cultures.
I’ve been a prison custody officer here since last September – As a former Gurkha with the British Army, I used to do a similar job in a different environment. This one’s more rewarding though.
I like dealing with different people, and the team spirit at Parc makes the job more enjoyable. Here, everyone’s working together to achieve the aims of the company. In the future, I’d like to take up the option to complete an NVQ and get promoted to the next grade, a PCO5.
Before I started here, I worked for an environmental company. I enjoy this job because every day’s different, and the culture’s professional and diverse.
I haven’t got any specific goals for the future, although I’d like to stay here. Mainly, I want to gain as much experience as possible, and see what opportunities turn up along the way.

Since I’ve worked here, staff have helped me through any difficulties I’ve experienced. You need to be a team player to succeed here – there’s good morale, and everyone works well together.
I’m not sure what my future ambitions are – but I enjoy each day as it comes, and I’d like to carry on working here.

I find it’s really rewarding when the young people here get a qualification in cooking – often, it’s the first one they’ve ever earned. The culture’s great too, with excellent training and personal development opportunities.
I’ve worked here for about ten years. Before that, I had all sorts of jobs – including factory work, building and mining.
I like the colleagues, the job satisfaction and the work-life balance here - no two days are the same, and you meet a real variety of people from day to day. In the future, I’d like to get promotion, and build as much experience as I can.
