Resettlement
Resettlement services in Parc are linked into Risk management and Public Protection processes via the Offender Management Unit. We offer practical, tangible resettlement interventions, where prisoners are approached and invited to take specific opportunities that exist in order to maximise the chance that they will achieve success upon release.
Resettlement staff will also provide advice to prisoners about:
- Housing and accommodation
- Benefits
- Employment and education
- Family and other relationships
- Healthy lifestyles
- Debt management
- Drug and alcohol support
In addition Parc staff are committed to the effective resettlement of offenders back into the community. A full-time Family Worker aims to re-establish links with a prisoner’s family while specially trained.
