Sports Facilities
Here at HMP & YOI Parc our aim is to make a major contribution to the regimes of the prison by providing professional, purposeful and constructive physical education and opportunities for personal development, which will prepare prisoners for reintegration into the community and contribute towards developing the employability of prisoners upon release.
We have one of the best prison sporting facilities in the country and it is widely used by both prisoners and staff for accredited training and recreational fitness.
The department has strong links with Cardiff City Football Club who regularly deliver football coaching courses to our prisoners. Our staff also work in the community with Ysgol Bryn Castell, helping children and adults with learning disabilities to develop their interest and participation in sporting activities.
Sports Hall
In the main sports hall prisoners can use the wide range of weights and cardio-vascular equipment, the climbing wall or partake in racket sports. There is also a range of cardio-vascular equipment in the John Charles Suite.

There are two 3G all weather, floodlit sports pitches used for team sports such as 5 a-side football, circuits and touch rugby.
